Townhouse in Soho – Delamina Delivers Tel Aviv-Inspired Dining in a Chic Setting

In the heart of Covent Garden, Delamina Townhouse offers a captivating blend of Tel Aviv-inspired cuisine and elegant Georgian charm. This latest venture by husband-and-wife duo Limor and Amir Chen brings the vibrant flavours of the Eastern Mediterranean to London’s theatre district, creating a dining experience that’s both sophisticated and soulful.

A Culinary Journey Rooted in Heritage

Delamina Townhouse is the third establishment from the Chens, following the successes of Delamina EAST in Shoreditch and Delamina in Marylebone. Limor, born in Tel Aviv to a family of Middle Eastern and European descent, draws upon her rich cultural heritage to craft a menu that celebrates the diverse flavours of the region. Her self-taught approach emphasises healthy, ingredient-focused dishes, utilising grilling, roasting, and a medley of herbs and spices to highlight the natural essence of each component.

A Georgian Townhouse with a Tel Aviv Soul

Situated within a Georgian townhouse on Tavistock Street, Delamina Townhouse seamlessly marries historical architecture with contemporary design. The interiors, curated by Limor herself, feature neutral tones, original fireplaces, and an array of curated artworks, including a large canvas created specifically for the space. The restaurant’s layout includes several private dining areas, such as the intimate ‘Big Snug’ and the elegant ‘Arts Room’ and ‘Drawing Room’, accommodating various group sizes and offering a homely yet refined atmosphere.

A Menu That Dances with Flavour

Limor is the driving force behind the menu, drawing on her eclectic heritage — she was born in Tel Aviv to a family of Middle Eastern and European origin — and inspired by her father, a passionate cook who exposed her to the myriad flavours, herbs and spices of the region. Limor’s recipes are influenced by her interest in healthy eating – grilling, roasting and using herbs and spices to celebrate the raw ingredients, including many vegetarian dishes. Her self-taught and intuitive approach results in dishes that are wholesome, nutritious and with a unique flavour combination.

The food is accompanied by a carefully curated drinks list that includes exciting wines from the eastern Mediterranean, alongside house cocktails that incorporate the same aromatic ingredients used in the kitchen.

A Destination for Every Occasion

Whether you’re seeking a pre-theatre meal, a leisurely brunch, or an intimate gathering, Delamina Townhouse caters to a variety of occasions. Its central location, combined with its warm ambience and exceptional cuisine, makes it a standout choice in London’s bustling dining scene. The restaurant’s commitment to delivering a personalised and memorable experience ensures that each visit is as unique and delightful as the last.
